R. Craig Hannay, President
Craig Hannay has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate. After spending nearly a decade in the Arizona banking industry where he developed expertise in distressed properties, he began investing in commercial properties. Under his stewardship, the company has grown into a regional commercial real estate firm with managed and owned properties throughout the western United States. From their initial focus of investing in commercial real estate, Craig has guided Hannay Realty Advisors into becoming a full service commercial real estate services and investment firm with multiple lines of business including investment, property management, distressed asset and receivership services, as well as construction and facilities maintenance. Throughout the company’s growth from their Arizona roots to a firm with a major presence in the west and a full complement of institutional resources, Craig has insisted on maintaining Hannay’s entrepreneurial spirit and in-depth knowledge of the local markets that they serve.
Reid Bracken, Vice President
Reid Bracken brings over thirty years of commercial real estate experience to Hannay Realty Advisors, having worked in all phases of brokerage, property management, and construction both in the United States and the Asia Pacific. Reid administers multiple lines of business including property and facility management, building maintenance and general contracting.
Graduating from the University of Arizona in 1985, Reid worked as a consulting engineer providing mechanical design, construction management, and owner representation services on new projects throughout the Southwest United States. Moving into commercial real estate in 1989, Mr. Bracken led his own firm through the challenging real estate market of the early 1990s administering all property management and construction operations for a commercial real estate portfolio of office, retail, multifamily and self-storage properties. In 1997, his firm expanded into the Asia Pacific assisting financial institutions and family trusts in the workout, asset management and disposition of distressed high-rise residential towers in Thailand, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Mr. Bracken is a licensed and bonded General Contractor and the Designated Broker for Hannay Realty Advisors in Arizona, California, and Nevada.
Nick Eggen, Director of Leasing
Nick Eggen brings twenty years of commercial sales and leasing experience to Hannay Realty Advisors, having negotiated over 400 transactions with a gross value of over 150 million dollars. Nick conducts all leasing for third party clients and owned assets encompassing retail, office and industrial transactions. His duties include front line leasing, marketing, and tenant renewals coupled with tenant representation and location services for third party clients.
Nick graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies. He is also an active member of ICSC, Executive Council 70 and Junior Achievement of Arizona.
Mary C. Hislop, Treasurer
Mary Hislop brings over 30 years of accounting experience to Hannay Realty Advisors. She is responsible for both the accounting department and human resources and has played an integral role in the company’s recent growth from a staff of nine to over 70 employees. Mary’s expertise is focused on multi-level financial statements, new entity formation, company mergers, SEC reporting, and all tax returns. She has developed and implemented company-wide strategic processes and procedures and has accounting responsibilities for all Hannay owned properties. Prior to joining the company, Mary worked for American Southwest Financial for 18 years and held various leadership positions including vice president and treasurer.
Tamara Hartrick, Director of Finance
Tamara Hartrick is a Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years of real estate, securitization, and financial accounting experience. She is responsible for directing and managing the accounting department for Hannay Realty Advisors. After graduating from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Accounting, Tamara started her career with Kenneth Leventhal & Co., a preeminent real estate accounting firm, which later merged with Ernst & Young. She has been the Controller for a securitization REIT, a Senior Project Accountant responsible for specific investments of a financial institution in receivership by the Resolution Trust Corporation and a Senior Accountant with the Resolution Trust Corporation where she performed and supervised the accounting functions in the Settlements and Claims Division of Field Accounting. Prior to joining Hannay, Tamara spent over 18 years with American Southwest Financial, a company that provided bond administration and tax accounting services to trustees and issuers of mortgage-backed securities, where she managed all aspects of business, tax and accounting operations first as a Tax Reporting Accountant and later the Accounting Manager and President. Tamara is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Annie Helsten, Controller
Annie Helsten has twenty years of experience in accounting, having started her career in the manufacturing industry. She began by working for the Woodbridge Group, a tier-two automotive supplier in Detroit. After a move to Kansas City, she became Senior Accountant for DeLaval, a Swedish based dairy services corporation. Another move to Chicago lead the way to a senior accounting position for Culligan, where she oversaw the accounting for the entire West Coast Division of dealer-owned operations. Prior to joining Hannay, Annie spent five years at Vestar Properties in Phoenix. At Vestar, she dealt with all property accounting aspects for third party clients, including UBS and Kimco Realty.
